The Obersalzberg Institute e.V. (founded 2003) is an independent, nonprofit initiative of locally engaged citizens who seek to promote public discourse on the proper management of the historical legacies of the Obersalzberg through lectures, conferences and student projects. The institute is overseen by a Board of Directors and an Advisory Committee. In addition, the institute maintains contacts with interested preservationists and academics in Germany and abroad.
